Fuckin a, i was disappointed to hear about the Wings getting beat down by Calgary, what the hell happened? Dave Lewis sucks ass, he needs to go. The Wings to clean house, cut salary and build a new franchise around lidstrom and the young studs of the team. I think they need to get rid of a lot of people, such as sergei and Vlade, along with their wheelchairs, just toss there asses off the Joe and into the rotten river. After they kill the two cripples, they can bring back Tim Chevaldae, and kill his ass too. So, is the city heartbroken over their beloved hockey team? is there more pressure now on Larry Brown, Ripster, Big Ben, and Chucky? Chucky? what about Olden Polynice, T Mills, and Scott Pollard?! Nobody ever thinks about them anymore! So, how is the city of Detroit, how are the blacks, prostitutes, kwame brown, and my good pals kwame kilpatrick, chuckster and june? I would also like an update on the contruction situation on I-75 and whether or not kwame has had anymore alleged Ho parties.
Well, its Spring Break, so that means the campus is empty and the city is packed with tourists. I also go sightseeing by day, though its very laboring. There are a ton of places in and around Beijing to see. You should all visit China sometime in the summer, when there is no SARS. Speaking of which, I may have to move to a different room, since my roommate is in such poor health, he coughs everywhere, and he is a man whore, so Im afraid to touch his personal items, just like Elaine in that one episode of seinfeld. That was a good one, especially at the end, when kramer made that nice dinner for everyone, "I prepared it as I bathed." anyways, SARS isnt that big of a deal, but the threat still looms over everyone's head.
As for traveling, a few weeks ago, I went to the summer palace, it was very nice. Its a huge park thats only a 20 min bus ride for my dorm. we walked around the entire lake for 4 hours, but I only took one picture. I went there with this japanese girl, which i began to express some interest in, but it didnt work out in the end, as i soon discovered that she's a cock whore. I think my roommate used me, since I went out with her a couple times, and did all the dirty work to find out what kind of person she was. Since she's a cock whore, my roommate is now trying to get with her. Initially, the situation was a little fucked up, but Ive gotten over it. Now we're back on good terms, since one slut her or there is no big deal.
Outside of that little Drama, the city has treated me very well, and Im learning more everyday, in this "constant struggle to improve myself." Im not sure, but I think that just living in the city has made me more cunning, as I always have to be on guard against getting jacked. I have a friend who has a couple of unpleasant Beijing bar experiences; email me if you want the details.
I attended a talk show last week, called "Up Close" on CCTV4, a tv station. the program was held in English and they were interviewing a chinese politician, a leader of one of the 8 democratic parties here in Beijing, so he's a pretty important person. He talked to us young people and said that we should all aim for "constant self improvement," and you shall be rewarded, and a bunch of other shit about venture capitalism in Beijing, serving his country, and helping his people lead better lives, blah blah blah.
Well, I dont have too many funny stories to tell, accept for a few weeks ago, i saw a 1 year old kid take a shit in the middle of Tianamen Square, where Parliament is held less than 200 meters away; it was hilariious and I got a picture of it. Tianamen is an interesting place, always packed with people going to and frough, selling shit, yelling, flying kites, shitting and whatnot. hm, writing about this shitting incident has inspired me, so Im off to do the deed
Peace out, Ya dig?

I've started a new online journal to write about my experiiences while abroad in Beijing. So I dont know how well this site will actually work since I came here on the advice of Gayman
Anyways, classes have been going for about a month now and I believe that I have been learning a lot, but who knows.
So, prior to coming to Beijing, I was in LA for 10 days, being a bum. While in cali, we also drove to San Fran and San Diego to visit people. I bought a lot of interesting T shirts from the "vintage" shops in San Fran. The highlights of LA were the house of blues, where we saw some pretty decent local bands....i forget their names. I also went to check out the only casino there in LA; its huge and its mainly for poker. I saw Leonardo Dicaprio there and he was playing poker among the commoners; in street clothes, he did not appear to be that gay, not that theres anyhting wrong with that. thats about it for LA.
In China:
I moved in about a month ago and my roommate' s name is Shin Hiramto from Hiroshima "a bomb city," Japan. He's a little weird, but we get along fine since him and all the other Japanese friends love everything about American pop culture. Sometimes, he confuses the movies with real life, so I have to correct him on that. Him and the other japs are up for drinking sake and karaoke any night of the week, so thats good.
I have also met a lot of new people from all different countries here in the foreigners' dorm; I will try and post a few pictures later on. During the week, all I ever do is study. On the weekend, I try to go see new places, but usually we end up at a bar. the bar scene here is rediculously huge. I have to bring my camera to the bars one of these days.
also, the food here is very very good, and super cheap; most of the bathrooms are not clean, just like in chinatown, except most require you to shit in a squatting position. Its a good thing that I can piss from a vertical or hunching position; though, Im more of a stall guy myself. But, I have been able to avoid the squatting device, thus far.
well, thats about it for now. I will try to update this once a week. So, check back often and you can alwways write me an email to let me know how things are going
